George Moss - Chairman, Founder
George and his wife, Ruth, have been residents of the San Fernando Valley since 1947. He has been involved in the Development and Management of more than 100 Southern California Projects, including Apartment Buildings, Shopping Centers, Industrial Centers and Office Buildings. He is the Founder and Chairman of Moss Group and Founder and Chairman of Marbro Funding.
George has spent considerable time and energy devoted to Civic and Philanthropic activities. He is a Benefactor of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; a Founder of the Music Center, Los Angeles; and a Sponsor of Cancer Research at Jules Stein Institute, Westwood, CA. Over the years George has served on many boards and committees on the local and national level.
Steve Moss - Executive Vice President, Director of Acquisitions
Steven H. Moss is the Executive Vice President, Director of Leasing and Acquisitions for the Moss Group. Over the last 36 years he has developed, constructed, managed, leased, acquired and sold Office Buildings, Retail Shopping Centers, Automotive Centers, Apartments, Condominiums, Single Family Homes and Land. His trademark has been to create value by maintaining stringent cost controls, effective construction management, responsive property management and developing successful long term relationships with Brokers, Tenants, Lenders, Government officials and Vendors.
Steven has been a licensed as Real Estate Broker since 1983 and a licensed General Contractor since 1985. Steven was appointed as a member of the Los Angeles City Ventura Boulevard Specific Plan and the California State Northridge Earthquake Task Force. He has served as a Board of Director of the Encino Chamber of Commerce, Discovery Pavilion and Meadow Oaks School. He graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in History.
Richard Moss - President
Richard F. Moss, President of Moss Group, was born and raised in Los Angeles. A graduate in 1990 from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, Richard is a member of the State Bar of California and is a licensed California real estate broker. In January, 1999, Richard joined Moss Group as a principal and Executive Vice-President. In 2001, Richard was promoted to President. As President of Moss Group, Richard oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations, sets its investment and financial strategies and acts as its general counsel.
Richard is involved in numerous community and charitable activities. He is an officer and board member of the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) Foundation and also a member of both the Global Advisory Council and National Commission of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). Formerly Richard served as Chairman of Val*Pac, the pre-eminent political action committee focused on business issues affecting the San Fernando Valley, and as a Commissioner of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. As one of five Commissioners acting as the Board of Directors of the LADWP, Richard was responsible for setting policies and utility rates of the nation’s largest municipally-owned utility with annual revenues of approximately $5 Billion.
